A Brief History

Widdowsons Ltd was set up in 2005, by Ian and Caroline Dawson, to make and sell display cases, Ian had spent 20 years in the plastic fabrication industry making display cases and other products. We started selling display cases and leaflet holders online from our website, www.acrylicdisplaycases.co.uk, soon after the leaflet holders were moved to their own website at www.leafletholdersdirect.co.uk, and also another website was created for international sales of display cases, www.acrylicdisplaysdirect.com. Caroline then added some more websites to our growing portfolio, they were www.onlinegothic.co.uk (a pewter jewellery store) and www.112dollshouses.co.uk (dolls house miniatures, pewter-gifts.co.uk, heidiott.co.uk and diecastdevon.co.uk). We now operate eight websites in total.
