Heidi Ott- A Brief History
Heidi Ott was born in Central Switzerland, which remains the base from which her large doll and miniature doll ideas are born and designed. It was in the 1960's that Heidi Ott originally started to develop her miniatures which she later presented at various shows and fairs. In the mid 1970's she created and produced her larger original dolls, her doll children with their rustic charm and hand painted eyes were a big success over the years and are still in great demand today.
A passion for detail, exceptional precision and fine hand-work, these are the high standards that Heidi Ott insists on maintaining. Her energy, creativity and know-how is set into the development of each new item, turning her passion into her life's work and our enjoyment. Together with her son Karl Jr., Heidi has created a diverse range of miniature dolls and accessories. Whilst Heidi is the artistic talent, Karl is the force behind the technical engineering and exceptional precision that is evident in their work. Having also inherited his Mother's creative flair, Karl designed the range of fine working clocks which he also makes in the Heidi Ott workshop in Switzerland.
The Heidi Ott miniature dolls and accessories are a great labour of love, developed over many years with unique attention to detail. It is such skill and craftsmanship that produces the high standard of quality that the Heidi Ott name now signifies.
